Now i'm do a segment called The Good, The Bad, & The In-Between!
Where i dissect Impact episodes on what i thought was good, bad, and in-between.
The Good-
Knockouts Match: Taya Valkyrie vs Amber Nova
*This was Taya's in ring debut match as newly signed GFW Knockout, Even tho this match was a squash match that wasn't that long, i enjoyed it alot, here Impact clip they uploaded on the channel...
Taya Valkyrie definitely showed her dominance in her debut match, She is Lucha Roylty and is here to show why she is former 2 time and longest reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion (AAA Queen of Queens / Womens Champion)
After the match Taya had some words backstage with Karen Jarrett
Yes indeed Taya, A Queen you are. I definitely since Knockouts Championship Gold in Her future. I don't know if she has name for her finisher but i like it, definitely fits her perfectly.
it's different than finisher she use to use in AAA and Lucha Underground -
- Northern lights suplex, followed by a double foot stomp into a pin
Braxton Sutter (w/ Allie) vs Garza Jr -
*This feud has been heating up lately (literally) Could there be trouble in paradise? is Braxton Sutter overreacting over Garza just being nice to Allie? Or is Braxton right to be jealous as Garza tries to make a move on his girl? Who knows, guess we'll have to wait to see how this plays out.
For those of you who don't know how this feud started was Allie got attacked backstage by Taryn a few weeks ago then afterwards a segment with Garza asking if Allie was okay after what transpired earlier then Braxton told Garza to back off and that he got this, with helping his wife with her minor injury she suffered from Taryn's beatdown.
Borash talked about Garza’s deep wrestling heritage and how he’s following in the footsteps of his uncle, Hector Garza. Garza had Sutter locked up in a backpack headlock position. Sutter shifted the force to his favor. Garza countered with a side slam. Garza and Sutter then had a fast-paced counter sequence. Sutter laid in some chops on Garza when he was more into taking his t-shirt off. Garza tried to stop the match to take off his pants but Sutter didn’t halt.
Sutter caught Garza with a second rope cutter. Borash mentioned that Garza is from Konnan’s Crash promotion and used that as a segue to hype up LAX vs. oVe. Sutter got a nearfall after a power slam. Josh gave Sutter credit for hooking the leg with the powerslam move. Garza yelled for a time out again and it made a bit more sense this time for Sutter to stop since he was trying to avoid a move. Garza blew a kiss at Allie and ripped off his tear away pants. Allie had a shocked face. Sutter yelled “are you kidding me?” to Garza. Sutter baseball slid out of the ring and sidestepped Sutter’s baseball slide. Garza put Sutter in a handstand and gave him a superkick. Garza gave Sutter snake eyes on the steps.
Garza went for a suicide dive but put the brakes on when Allie was in the spot that Sutter was once in. Sutter shoved Garza into the ring steps. Sutter earned a close nearfall after a gutwrench suplex. Sutter then showed frustration by going for quick pin attempts. Allie tried to rally the crowd for Sutter. Garza caught Sutter with a superkick then Springboard Moonsault. Garza picked up the win.
Overall i liked this match and storyline, i can't to see more of this feud in GFW. I definitely think Garza Jr, Braxton Sutter, and Allie have very bright future in Impact Wrestling, and i definitely want to see all 3 hold gold in GFW Impact.
Global Forge series-
*On this week show GFW Impact introduced video package about Global Forge and they gave more information about it on Impact Website right here.
http://impactwrestling.com/global-forged/
"This is Global Forged. This is a chance for athletes all over the world to come to Windsor, Ontario, Canada to the Can-Am Dojo and earn the right to join the GFW roster. Scott D’Amore will serve as head trainer and you will see this journey play out on IMPACT and our social channels."
It is almost as similar to British BootCamp series they did few years ago, but more like a Canadian version of it, where they train men and woman who want to break into the business a chance to earn a spot on the GFW roster. Which i like, me being huge fan of British BootCamp that i'm excited to watch this Global Forge series. At first when i saw this i thought is this new developmental series for GFW Impact but then after i got to sit back and think about it, GFW already has a training facility at the Can-Am Dojo in Canada ran by Scott D'Amore who is the head trainer of the Dojo.
Overall what do you all think of this new series?
Pagano's Impactful Debut -
*One of AAA's biggest stars who mainevented last years Triplemania event has made his GFW Impact debut attacking GFW's EC3 after his title defense vs Fantasma for IMPACT GRAND Championship.
For those who don't know Pagano is one of the best Hardcore and Crazy Clown lucha libre wrestlers in Mexico. He has won several titles in mexico even the AAA World Tag Team Championship (1 time) – with El Mesías. This wrestler is crazy talented and i can't wait to see more
The Bad-
America's Top Team and Bobby Lashley storyline-
*At first i enjoyed it when it first started but now it's starting to lose some steam with me where its just there on the show, hopefully things pick up soon to get me back interested in it.
here few segments of it.
Am i the only one feeling this way or do you all think same as i do, tell me your thoughts?
Low Ki vs Johnny Impact-
*The match was descent don't get me wrong but already knowing ahead of time of Low Ki's departure before these set of taping finish airing, kinda makes me not interested in watching Low Ki matches since i know he's no longer with the company. It gives me bad flashbacks when EY and Roode left the company at beginning of the taping's then we had to endure watching them on tv while they already was released from the company.
And speaking of Roode since he wants to do interviews and say he lost his passion for wrestling working for Impact Wrestling for 12 to 13 years then GFW Impact needs to immediately take that record off of him of being the longest reigning world champion in Impact history.
here link to match Impact uploaded
The In-Between-
Richard Justice "The Standby Wrestler" meets America's Top Team backstage-
*It was good and bad at the same time, .......GOOD to see ATT beat the living crap out of Richard Justice but BAD that Impact has The Standby Wrestler backstage and nobody gave or offered him a box of Donuts, WTF Impact come on now. Richard Justice deserves all the donuts in catering you have to offer.
Heres the link to the video
Grado vs Local Jobber-
*The BAD, the match ok, its not something i'll go back and rewatch over again but it was a squash match, so it's whatever. But the GOOD, was the post match segment with Joseph Park coming to the ring with a solution on Grado's Visa issues so he can stay in the states. and the solution was Grado will be working for Joseph Parks as his first client on a work visa. So that means Grado found a way to stay in the States working for GFW.
Here's the link to video.
Impact Grand Championship match - EC3 vs Fantasma -
*The match was descent but the BAD was this match was not re-memorable, The GOOD we got to see more of Fantasma and EC3 wrestling matches on Impact tv more. Also the post match segment with Hector Guerrero having words with Fantasma on the match decision plus debut of Pagano.
Here's the Link o Video
X-Division Championship Falls Count Anywhere match-
*The GOOD was the match quality, i enjoyed the brawling in crowd and over the arena / backstage. definitely something i'll go back and re-watch later, The BAD was that Sonjay Dutt's title reign with X-Division Championship as i was really enjoying Sonjay with the belt.
Here's a link to Video
No Eli Drake match or Dummy Yeah segment-
* The Good we atleast got Eli Drake on tv this week, The BAD it's not enough Eli Drake on tv. I want the Dummy Yeah segment back on IMPACT Tv, that was gold in my opinion.
Here's the link to Eli videos
And lastly the LAX vs OVE GFW World Tag title match-
*The GOOD is the product behind the way it was filmed and the match looked good and backstage segments. The BAD is it was just the highlights of the match and not the match in full which i hope after the GWN app is launched that they put the full match on the network for those of us who want to watch it.
Here's the link to video
